Event: Protein sciences in drug discovery

The 2022 Protein Science in Drug Discovery ELRIG meeting will be held at The Babraham Research Campus, Cambridge UK from 2-3 November 2022. The meeting will host leading scientists from industry and academia and will aim to focus on the application of emerging areas of Protein Science to the challenges of modern drug discovery.

The interactive two-day event will include four sessions. The sequential sessions will cover high throughput methods for protein expression, approaches for prosecuting challenging target space and analytical techniques to interrogate protein quality. In addition, AI tools for the development of methods to predict protein production will be discussed. Join scientists from academia, pharma, biotech and CRO´s to hear cutting-edge science, network and visit the vendor booths.

Sessions include:

  1. High-throughput approaches for protein expression
Session Chairs: Maja Firczuk (GSK) and Hanna Tegel (KTH)
  2. Advancement in protein production of novel and challenging soluble targets
Session Chairs: Panchali Goswami (GSK) and Valerie Pye (The Francis Crick Institute)
  3. Prosecution of membrane protein targets
Session Chairs: Arjan Snijder (AstraZeneca) and Maria Marta Garcia Alai (EMBL)
  4. Accelerate protein production with the development of AI techniques
Session Chairs: Aurelie Bornot (AstraZeneca) and Brian Marsden (University of Oxford)
