ELRIG meeting will focus on gene engineering in drug discovery

CRISPR gene editing

The fifth CRISPR in Drug Discovery: From Targets to Therapeutics meeting will be held face to face In Oxford on February 7-8, 2023.

The meeting will focus on the application of genome engineering in identification of novel drug targets through large-scale CRISPR based functional genomics studies, developing advanced cellular and in vivo disease models for target validation, and its applications in therapeutic genome editing.

The event will aim to provide a current perspective of the applications of these rapidly developing technologies with an emphasis on drug discovery applications.

The scientific programme will include:

  • Large-scale CRISPR functional genomics studies for drug target identification and validation
  • Application of genome engineering in developing biological models of disease from single cells through to complex in vitro tissue systems and in vivo models
  • Cutting edge CRISPR genome engineering technologies and their emerging applications
  • A perspective from technology leaders on the therapeutic applications of genome engineering

The organisers hope to bring together the research community working in the field of genome engineering with interests in developing and applying the technology for pharmaceutical research.

To be considered for a poster presentation, applicants must submit their posters by January 10, 2023. The deadline for General Posters is January 29, 2023.
