This is the latest episode of the free DDW narrated podcast, “What lies in the future for genomics and big data?”, which covers two articles written for Volume 23, Issue 3 – Summer 2022 of DDW. They are called “What’s the next step in big data and AI?” and “Why a recent advancement is a giant leap for human genomics”.
In the first article, Troy Groetken of intellectual property and technology law firm McAndrews, Held & Malloy tells Lu Rahman how pharma companies can take this data from where it currently stands (drug design and development) to a more clinical level.
In the second article, Dr Oyvind Dahle and Michael Pontrelli from Foley & Lardner LLP, talk about the first complete, gapless sequence of a human genome, which was published on 1 April 2022 in a special issue of the journal Science.
