What lies in the future for genomics and big data?

AI and genomics

This is the latest episode of the free DDW narrated podcast, “What lies in the future for genomics and big data?”, which covers two articles written for Volume 23, Issue 3 – Summer 2022 of DDW. They are called “What’s the next step in big data and AI?” and “Why a recent advancement is a giant leap for human genomics”.

In the first article, Troy Groetken of intellectual property and technology law firm McAndrews, Held & Malloy tells Lu Rahman how pharma companies can take this data from where it currently stands (drug design and development) to a more clinical level.

In the second article, Dr Oyvind Dahle and Michael Pontrelli from Foley & Lardner LLP, talk about the first complete, gapless sequence of a human genome, which was published on 1 April 2022 in a special issue of the journal Science.
