SLAS2025 Student Poster Award finalists announced
The Student Poster Award finalists for SLAS2025, taking place in San Diego, US, from 25-29 January 2025, have been confirmed. Visit these next-gen scientists working with cutting-edge automation to accelerate their discoveries and meet the future of the industry.
Lan Mi, Graduate Student (University of Massachusetts, Amherst)
Mi is presenting a poster on genetically encoded fluorogenic RNA-based bioluminescence resonance energy transfer (BRET) sensors for cellular imaging and target detection.
Khashayar Moshksayan, Graduate Student (University of Texas at Austin)
Moshksayan is presenting on high-content imaging (HCI) of intestinal organoids cultured on the organoidchip to assess the morphology and metabolic activity.
Toan Phan, (Chulalongkorn University)
Phan will present on decellularised matrix-hyaluronan-alginate hybrid hydrogels to enable oral mucosa-on-a-chip microfluidics
Stacy Widyono (Innovative Genomics Institute, UC Berkeley and Intern, Merck)
Widyono is presenting on accelerating the development of plate-based analytical methods using automation platforms for host cell protein quantification.
Charissa Witters, Graduate Student (University of Antwerp)
Witters’ poster is titled: “Forecasting clear vision: How QSAR modelling catalyses small molecule development in the field of corneal endothelial regeneration”.
Concept to Cure at SLAS2025
For the second year running, DDW is organising a series of seminars at SLAS International Conference and Exhibition. Based on the SLAS2025 theme of Curiosity Igniting Innovation, these will be available to visitors of SLAS2025.
This programme – Concept to Cure at SLAS2025: Curiosity and Lab Automation in Drug Discovery – will present examples of research and drug development from industry experts in the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and biotech industries.
They will highlight how being curious and using the latest lab automation technology is advancing and innovating drug discovery and development.
Speakers include:
- Dr Raminderpal Singh, 20/15 Visioneers
- Nicola Richmond, Chief Scientist AI, Recursion
- Graham T Dempsey, Quiver Biosciences
- Fatah Kashanchi, George Mason University and Heather Branscome, ATCC
- Alexander G Godfrey, National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS)
- Carleen Klumpp-Thomas, National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS)
The track is sponsored by ATCC, Integra Biosciences, Collaborative Drug Discovery (CDD) and Tecan.
