The SLAS 2021 Building Biology in 3D Hybrid Symposium, originally planned for Jupiter, Florida, has been relocated to the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines in La Jolla, California, to enable current Covid-related safe meeting guidelines.
“At this time, we cannot enforce SLAS safe meeting guidelines within the state of Florida; we want to ensure that we can deliver a quality educational and exhibition experience for our attendees in the safest way possible,” said Amy Wilkinson, SLAS Director, Global Events.
The symposium highlights the successes and limitations of using 3D systems in discovery and applied research including current and near-future enabling technologies and high-throughput screening, image analysis, data generation and novel model systems.
Keynote speakers include Randy Blakely (Executive Director of FAU Brain Institute and Professor of Biomedical Science at Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine, Florida Atlantic University) and David Tuveson (Director and Roy J. Zuckerberg Professor of Cancer Research at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Cancer Center).
In-person and online registration options are available for this symposium. Important dates include registration for early discounts closing October 11 and abstracts being accepted for poster presentation until September 27. Exhibitors and sponsors interested in presenting should reach out to secure a spot in the quickly expanding in-person exhibition.
