Global law firm Hogan Lovells has released its fourth annual Life Sciences and Health Care Horizons report, which takes an in-depth look at the opportunities, evolving trends and challenges shaping the future of the life sciences and health care industry. It provides “a high level overview of the potential opportunities, challenges and risks those exciting new developments may bring”, says Steve Abrams, Co-Head of the Hogan Lovells Life Sciences and Health Care Industry Group.
Following a year of innovation and fluctuation in the industry owing to COVID-19, contributors from Hogan Lovells report on the multitude of opportunities, challenges and risks that companies must consider as everything from product development, to cell, tissue, and gene therapies, and patent law, continues to rapidly advance.
Spotlighting the expedited adoption of new technologies and innovation resulting in massive investments into areas such as virtual health solutions, privacy and cybersecurity measures, the report assesses ways in which companies collaborated virtually.
Co-Head Jane Summerfield expressed excitement about being able “to continue helping our Life Sciences and Health Care clients navigate increasingly complex matters and helping them thrive in today’s difficult environment.”
