Global contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) ten23 has made progress in its sustainability goals, the company has announced.
The CDMO has announced it has become a “Pending B Corporation”, meaning that it meets the legal accountability requirement for B Corp Certification and takes measures to manage its social and environmental performance. The status is valid for a non-renewable one-year term, after which ten23 health aims to obtain the full B Corp Certification.
For a company to receive full B Corp Certification, it must demonstrate high social and environmental performance, integrate commitments to stakeholders into company governing documents and exhibit transparency on performances versus B Lab’s standards.
More so, ten23 health has completed the “Swiss Triple Impact (STI)” programme, following a three-step pathway linked to concrete commitments made in relation to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This means that the company now becomes a listed STI Directory member – one of the largest listings of Swiss organisations to have taken concrete commitments to contribute to the SDGs and the 2030 Agenda.
Lastly, ten23 has joined the “United Nations Global Compact” (UN GC) programme, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative.
