BioLago’s ‘Science meets business’ event makes successful return 

After a two-year break, the cross-border health network BioLago’s in-person forum returned: ‘Science meets business’ took place 8 July 2022 at the University of Konstanz, Germany.  

Around 70 people attended the afternoon forum and networking event, with visitors ranging from technology and service providers, academics, researchers, and laboratory management professionals. The event was also attended by chemical biology graduate students from the University of Konstanz. 

The focus of the event was on the Covid-19 pandemic and aimed to address the questions of what lessons can we learn and what is the outlook for the future. Keynote speakers included Professor Dr. Klaus Cichutek, President of the Paul-Ehrlich-Institute who spoke about fighting the Covid-19 pandemic and Proessor Heinrich Haas, Vice President Formulation and Drug Delivery at BioNTech SE who spoke on the topic of nanotechnologies in the development of vaccines against cancer. There were also presentations from Eurofins Genomics Sequencing GmbH and ceGat GmbH. 

The event was supported by Eurofins Genomics, University of Konstanz, Takeda and Microsynth.
