AAIPharma Services Announces New Additions
Feb 2010
AAIPharma Services Corporation announced today the addition of Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) to its full line of mass spectrometry capabilities. “This new capability along with our commitment to technological advancement and our rich history of scientific excellence will provide our customers with a tremendous platform to support their drug product development efforts," said L. Lee Karras, CEO.
The 7700 Series ICP-MS complements AAIPharma Services current state-of-the-art GC/MS and LC/MS equipment.
Recently installed in the Wilmington, North Carolina analytical laboratories of AAIPharma Services, the ICP-MS 7700 Series from Agilent Technologies represents the latest design in ICP-MS technology. The unit is configured with the Agilent MassHunter Work Station application software a client-server configuration that makes the data fully 21 CFR Part 11 compliant.
According to George Spanos, Ph.D., VP of Laboratory Services, “The biggest advantage that the Agilent 7700 ICP-MS series offers to our customers lies in the ability of the system to minimize sample matrix interference as well as the fact that it meets full 21 CFR Part 11 requirements.” The Agilent Technologies 7700 Series ICP-MS provides AAIPharma scientists the ability to perform multi-elemental trace analysis at greater levels of specificity and sensitivity than earlier ICP instruments.
